Read the service manual. It's rather vague but that was why I
posted what I did earlier. The gap 1/16" +/- 1/64" is actually
gauged with just the weight of the engine on the support. The
adjustment, if necessary, is made by removing metal from the
top of the lower retainer. Then the outer bolts are simply
snugged down to take up the slack, no tightening involved.
The center bolts are not welded to the front plate, they are
originally swaged into the plate.
