Thanks Ken. The guy I bought the cut-off from is working with me so far. He says he will give me the parts I need to correct the issue but I am nervously optimistic. If this fails I will be in touch. The other problem is he is 6 hrs away. He says he has a buddy that comes my way regularly that could bring me the parts I need but all this adds up to more waiting......Plus,the truck is sitting on the trailer with a tarp over it for now, something else I am not happy about. I need to get it into the shop soon.
There was a tandem axle 860 for sale recently in recently in Ohio. Looked to be in pretty nice condition. I think you definitely need one in your collection!
