| | | | Joined: Feb 2008 Posts: 212 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2008 Posts: 212 | I have a 58 3100 and my gas gauge has gone to empty and only bumps when the key is turned on. I have run a new wire for both terminals and still the same. I have a spare instrument cluster and I took that one apart and noticed that the water temp gauge has the same bobbins as the gas gauge.The terminal where the copper wire is soldered on the gas gauge is corroded away. Can the wound bobbin on the water temp gauge be used on the fuel gauge. Are they wound different for ohm limits. | | | |
