I am about at the same stage. I have investigated sound deadener until I am blue in the face. I am going to go with Dynamat no name. Basically, Dynamat without the logo. Very inexpensive on Ebay.

I plan on doing rear cab (lower) panel, floor behind seat/under tank, firewall, roof, inside doors. I also undercoated the cab with 3M Body Shutz (acts as sound deadener as well). The main part of floor will be painted and covered by rubber floor mat (to retain original appearance.

Of course, I have to paint the interior before applying the sound deadener...almost to that point.
