| | | | Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 150 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 150 | My 54 3100 has a 283 in it and I'm currently using an 65 amp one wire Alt which is wired into the original Ammeter. It has been working just fine. I'm now wanting to install A/C and replace the mechanical fan with an electric cooling fan which will require an upgrade to a 100 Amp Alt.
My question is will this upgrade burnout or ruin my current Ammeter?
