Hi Super55, it sounds like many a stovebolter with these vintage trucks seem to go through this process. Yes I used some epoxy resin one year to build my kayak(badairka) and it wasn't a good scene for breathing hence the use of the proper respirator, I imagine with primer there would be more particles travelling around the neighbourhood, too bad there wasn't a brush/roller system that could get the same result but haven't heard of one.
I do remember the Rocky Mountain Bluegrass Boys with Ron Scmidt, not sure if this is he. You could usually find me hanging around with Swain and his bunch, we were and still the bad boys of the bluegrass festival playing jazz, bossa nova etc tunes. What ever turns your crank I say....cheers
