This may seem odd, but: I have a leak from the trans that appears as if it leaks through the speedometer cable housing (metal). It doesn't leak at the connection, the leaks appears at the low point of the cable. There is no trace of fluid on the cable except at the point of the leak. This is a new cable, going to a three speed OD trans. It seems the speedometer gear (in the trans); where it meets the cable, there is no seal or good mating surface. And, the fluid then can run into the cable liner. However, this cable seems to be the same as the old one. Any ideas would be appreciated, I just can't see how fluid could be inhibited from leaking into the cable.
Thanks, don
