For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Dec 2012 Posts: 163 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2012 Posts: 163 | After an engine and trans rebuild on my 51 235 start up went well except a ting-ting-ting noise when the clutch is DEPRESSED (Like the noise made when a fan blade is clipping something only not on every revolution). The clutch and trans are late 50's open driveshaft. The throw out bearing is new and correct but when I reach up into the housing to turn it by hand it has spots where it wants to hang up. Do you all think that could be the problem? It shifts and drives fine. It only makes the noise when the pedal is pushed. Any help would be appreciated. | | |
