Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Apr 2013 Posts: 82 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Apr 2013 Posts: 82 | OK, Just got a 41 chevy pickup and it smokes on startup and acceleration (blue smoke) I believe it is valve seals. Has the original 216 engine. Should I replace using original type valve seals or should I replace with umbrella type. I think the valves are 11/32". Is that correct. If I should replace what type and where to get them? Will it hurt for me to drive it in this condition. Also, would excessive oil in the pan cause this smoking condition?
