For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: May 2013 Posts: 27 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: May 2013 Posts: 27 | I followed the procedure except for the reaming. I have read conflicting reviews about if the new bushings need reaming and I measured the new kingpins with a caliper and they don't appear to be tapered.
I am now thinking that is the problem and the spindle bushings need to be reamed first. What is the spec on the reamer that I need? The shop manual says 0.923" reamer but I have never seen a reamer like that before that will pass through both bushings.
Can you elaborate please? | | |
