it's called a shift rod
unless you can get different lengths from where ever you got the shifter, you should be able to get some 1/4" ready rod and cut it the length you want, put the threaded fitting on one end and bend the other as appropriate .... if you'd gotten a Lokar shifter it's be easier, they supply a long rod that can be cut to length with excellent thread-on fittings for both ends
