| | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 | yes, prolly someone didn't know there's a difference, or just wanted to see if it turned over - 6V starter would work OK with 12V - the generator 948R is a 6V [regulator mounted on top?] ... a battery ground cable should go to the engine [bellhouse or starter bolt] or frame near the battery, wouldn't be a surprise if it's missing
