Hate to drag up an old thread, but that seems better than starting a new one about the same thing.
I know the difference between the 6v and 12v flywheel tooth counts, but what's the difference in the tooth count between the starters?
Truck is a '54, 235 with a solonoid starter. It's got a 139 tooth flywheel and the owner wants to go back to the foot start. I've found a starter with 9 teeth and just want to make sure it's compatible with the 139 toot flywheel.
