Anyone have a reference list for GM point distributors? I put a 283 engine in my 66 Chevy C10. It was in the bed of an old truck I bought for parts. It runs good but sputters and pops when about half acceleration. I had a 70 C10 years ago with a th350 trans. that only got tming advance in high gear and would do the same thing with the advance unit bypassed. This 66 C10 does much better if I disconnect the advance. It is running a three speed stick shift. The distributor in the engine now is #1111257. I have three other distributors I could use - #s 1112047, 1112846 and 1111150. They could all be for the same set-up for all I know. Anyone have any ideas? Reference lists?
