I don't know.
What wiring options do you have? (i.e. are the terminals labeled?)
I've got an aftermarket tach in mine and it only has the three wires - Hot, Ground, and Distributor.
If the unit is deeper than an inch, you probably don't need a brain box. If it's a shallow thing, then you probably do.
What is wrong with the one that you have?
