It would take a lot of work, there are many, many things to consider. Wheelbase, cab mtg, gas filler, tranny hole, ebrake, steering, pedals and linkages, bumpers, body to frame "nesting" and as Red said and as Scott said and lots more. Most of the time they look like what they are.
