It won't fit directly attached to the dash ...
i did this move and had to make a short metal bracket to move the (heater) switch back about 1-1/2 ~ 2'' so the switch would clear the gauge. that's pretty tight there. i used two different sized washers and a short flat, 5/8'' strap & welded the washers in parallel. the front washer is smaller than the back one. the front one uses the stock T or C dash threaded screw. i removed the wire from the C/T stem and cut the stem to length. i placed the switch in the back/rear washer/hole. I bought a 1/4'' coupler nut (about 3/4'' long), drilled two small holes and threaded those for small #8 or 10 size allen set screw. the coupler connects the heater switch stem to the C/T shortened stem. You can position the switch so the C/T is in the verticle position, so it looks correct. We now say the C (was choke) is now climate control.
my other two switches are next (right side) to the headlight switch, one is a safety/start & fog light, a 2 pos. switch (for theft protection) and the other (just below it) is a push to squirt, 3 pos. wiper sw., which could be placed as you want in the T location using the same concept.
