I was thinking the pump was too low also. Now I have to hope I can get the oil pan off without having to lift the engine up or take it out.
I know theoretically it doesn't matter which way the rotor points at TDC, but I was just wondering which way was considered "correct" on these I-6 engines, pointing it toward the fender or #1 spark plug. Or is it one of those things that everyone has their own opinion about? I've never bothered to look up in the shop manual whether it states one way or the other.
