| | | | Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 428 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 428 | Hoping you guys can give me some directions on how to test the fuel gauge and sending unit to see which one is not working on my truck. It is a 1970 C10. I replaced the fuel tank and the sending unit back in 2007 and the gauge has been working until recently but now it reads empty all the time. I removed the tank yesterday in order to do some work inside the cab and when I disconnected the wire to the sending unit the fuel gauge needle went way past full but when the wire was reconnected to the sending unit the fuel gauge needle went back to empty again. Don't know if any of that means anything but figured I would toss it in here anyway. Any info on testing procedures is greatly appreciated. | | |
