Was pulling the head easy? Is there any special tricks or things to look out for?
1st thing is you don't want to pull it unless you have to. There was some great advice given to me in that old thread of mine. Go through all thse steps including doing a compression test before you go deep.
Pulling the head in-car is somewhat difficult as the head alone weighs in at around 100lbs plus the weight of the manifolds. You definitely want some muscle help to pull it. The side plate, thermostat housing, water pump and side pan all have to come off as well as everything that connects to them. as been said, catagorize and label everything. I used 1 gal frezzer bags and boxes. also take lots of pics, that'll help when putting it all back together.
