JC shows "heavy 1 gauge" cloth covered cable [$39] or a "heavier 2 gauge" vinyl covered cable [$20] .... guess JC doesn't understand the AWG numbering system
as Tim prefers, 0 or 00 is best, and "heavier"
the 1 gauge should be OK if everything else is good, particularly clean and tight connections, the 2 gauge will require everything else to be perfect, including engine tune, and even then may be a problem in hot weather, which affects connections as well as affecting the
current carrying capacity of any wire - length has an effect as well, the longer the cable the more resistance, keep cables as short as practically possible
