Squire 'Bolter S Joined: Jul 2007 Posts: 328 Kaneville, Illinois	Yep, sounds like bad ground. Same symptoms on my 58 Buick .... A bad ground can make symptoms "float" through the system mysteriously. The light housing itself must be well grounded to body/chassis.
