What have you done to the truck recently? Any modifications? parts? other than thermostat? Are there any water leaks? Park in a place after driving where you can detect any and all water leaks that hit the floor. A water pump will seep if seal/brg goes out. Make sure pump is turning as fast as it should. Try a new radiator cap if no leaks. Radiator Cap must keep pressure in or it will evaporate/boil all the water out and/or leak. Bottom rad hose should be stiff/reinforced, not weak. "getting hot"...does that mean the gauge says hot or you say hot? Is it a gauge or light? Don't fill rad to very top. Needs room to expand. Truck running good? no misses? no hard start? Where is it steaming from exactly? Is rad pretty full when you start out? then after boiling and then cooled off, is rad water way, way down or a little down? That's all for now.
