The worst part of the restoration was block sanding all that flat sheet metal!
Many holes for ladder hooks, CBs, clearance lights, etc had to welded up and
made to disappear under that black paint!
I almost hated to remove the ancient Olds motor and hydro but they were done for, and I wanted a truck to be able to haul an occasional engine or tow a trailer.
