| | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 | never had any problem with a sender, but you can heat it in a pan of water on the stove with a thermometer, while watching the ohm reading, should move steady and not get to a max [or min] reading until the water is really boiling - if it's causing your gauge to peg at a true 180 it should show up
