Here is my issue. The wipers have never worked on the 57 (My Dad used rain X and didn't take the truck out if it looked like rain) The original vaccuum motor is in place, however, the fuel pump appears to be a replacement. I understand the original was called a dual action fuel pump that had a vaccuum pump and fitting to run the wipers ? Which is simplier to do, replace the vaccuum system with an electric, or try to find the correct pump then hope the pump works. Is there a way to test ? Your thoughts and opinions are appreciated.
