not hard at all if you're patient, get a good repro wiring harness - price will be 1-200 prolly, but all you hafta do is rip out the old wires, install the new, change all the bulbs to 12v ones, add the necessary dropping resistors for the gauges and heater fan - can be done in a few hours or a weekend
and come back for troubleshooting advice of course
