The top of the carb, where the fitting for the gas line is so worn that the brass fittings screw all the way in without much resistance. Rather than trying to find a new top or replace the carb, can I just JB Weld the brass fitting to the carb? It would seal the threads nicely but is contamination or lasting a problem? Thanks!
