I went to the parts bin and grabbed another one. The new old generator has a much better armature. I stripped the case down and carefully blasted it and it's in primer now. Also in primer is one end cover and the fan pulley . I'm pretty sure the pulley is either raw metal or silver but have a question on the end covers. On the first generator one cover was painted and one was raw or silver colored. On the current generator both ends are painted. What's correct?
