It is my next step (if I can keep my paying job from getting in the way), but it's nice to know that someone else has gone through the same thing. On some of the 40+ year old dash light bulb housings I soldered a ground wire to the housing and it seems to work. I had considered doing this to the tail lights to eliminate the possibility of bad connections in the body panels. Is this what you did?
