send me some pictures of what problems you are having with the hinges and we can come up with a repair plan. I think it was Patrick that repaired his worn hinges by welding and grinding.
What year is you suburban? I am looking into adapting the newer style into the 1947/50, I think it is possible, but I have to do some more research.
Yup - It was me. I also still have a NOS 49 hinge as well. I may still have photos George. [email protected] I did the repair myself, but I suggest that if you're not an advanced welder, have somebody else do it.
I took the NOS hinge, measured it out and tig welded up the channel and measured it out and filled it and ground it out
