As Tim says, you need an appraiser who know these trucks. I hired one to inspect a '54 GMC suburban. He said he knew them but didn't. He said the engine was original but it wasn't even the right size. But he did reveal it wasn't what it was presented as. I didn't buy it.
I hope your guy is more knowledgeable. I, too, feel it's very overpriced. Be patient, the right one will appear.
