Thanks everyone! The car show was so much fun! I took second in the Stock Truck class. They had 220 vehicles in this car show. I think there were 9 trucks in my class. It was so much fun meeting people and talking to them. I was really surprised at how many stories I heard from people who's father or grandfather had a truck like mine. Several people regretted every getting rid of their old truck and I got one guy that wanted to know if I would sell it. SELL IT! It was only the second day I had it on the road. LOL!

There was a '54 Chevy with original Thriftmaster 235 next to me that I knew was going to to be hard to beat. He was a really nice 74-year old man and this was his second show with the truck. I was happy for him. You can see his truck in my photobucket.

It is so much fun driving around town. I've had people pull up next to me at stop lights and want to talk about the truck and even people that speed up to get next to me just to give me a thumbs up. It really does make ya feel good about the 3-years of time put into it. Every one wants to know what I'm going to do next. I tell them, "Drive it". Ha.

Thanks for the encouragement and tips and answers to questions. I told my wife it seems really weird not having anything left to do on the truck, but that's not really true is it? There's seat belts, maybe an 8-track player, I need to try to figure out the temperature gauge, and need to see why the speedometer is sticking.

Jay, the paint seems to be holding up great but there's only 50-miles or so on the engine plus the 30-minute cam break-in.
