Ted, I caused my own hard steering by having owersize rims and tires. I'm told that stock trucks should have easy steering. Using the Toyota box is quite simple. It mounts in the same location just a mounting bracket under it. I think there's a problem if you have the shift linkage on the column. I converted to a T-5 that has a floor shift.
