It will work with the alternator and the starter. You will have to have a resistor if you keep the heater 6-volt no matter what coil you use. It is a Rochester, the engine is a full-pressure 1954. You will notice the wiring from the dash is one wire to the coil, the other large wire to the starter. The other coil wire goes to the distributor.
