about multi grade oil, it's vaguely as you say .... I didn't catch that you'd just rebuilt it, folks do usually use the
ZDDP additive or diesel grades with zinc for the first while, but I don't think not using it would contribute to temperature, and I'm not convinced it'd be a real wear problem not using it .... hopefully your rebuild included good assembly lube
