| | | | Joined: Oct 2004 Posts: 1,780 Master Gabster | | Master Gabster Joined: Oct 2004 Posts: 1,780 | I am trying to experiment with rebuilding clam shell upper lift gate hinges and to see if the later style (1951-55) will fit in a (1948-50) with minimal work. I want to document the work. Does anyone know where I can get a couple of the older style hinges for parts so I can continue the modification. I placed an ad in the swap meet with no response, maybe I can talk to a couple of guys that have replaced or modified their hinges and maybe find a source for my parts. shoot me a PM or email me with pictures of what you have done to deal with broken or badly worn hinges.
