Might I inquire as to where in the manual you saw the 1/8" spec for brake pedal freeplay? I've checked the manual, and cannot find any spec for 1/8" freeplay, only a 5" pedal to toeboard w/75 pound force on the pedal and an 11/16" clearance from the lower pedal to seal clearnce at full return.
I checked mine just for reference, I get about 3/4" freeplay with a properly adjusted stock system.
