I had glass cut for my 1942 in December by a local glass guy. He charged me $45.00 per side. I would tell your guy to go scratch. Some where i read to set it in urathane? sealant and forget the setting tape because it leaks?, I'm not at that point yet since i have some metal work on the lower pass side. My 2 cents.
