Hey bought what I believe is 1936 Chevy 1 1/2 ton truck no Vin tag only the numbers on the engine block casting is either 836010-10 or 636010-10 and the numbers stamped on the pad froward of the distributor are T5898296. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!
836010 is a good number for 1936. The 10 after the casting part number is the casting mold number.
The engine sreial number is also good. The "T" indicates Truck. Serial number 5898296 was built in January 1936. The 1936 numbers started with 5500179 and ended with 6784512.
