I have a few questions...
What are your plans for the truck, running enpty all the time or carring a load and pulling a trailer sometimes?
Are you in a hilly area?
What motor do you have? If it the original 6-cylinder you may not have enought power and find you have to drive around in third gear all the time to keep the engine in it's power curve.
Do you already have disc brakes on the front axle? I don't think you should run it with disc on the rear only.
I'm sure others will chime in with their thoughts as well...
