I am now in the mid stream of refinishing the gauge's. I drilled out the aluminum rivet the holds the face plate to the gauge works with 5/64" drill bit. I will redrill the holes with a #44 drill and use #2 machine screw and nut to reassemble. With my thick farmer fingers, this is tweezer work.
The pointer or needle is painted some off-white color, it seams to have a green tint. Did these original needles glow or luminous in the dark? What color or paint have you used? All opinions on this issue will be appreciated.
