A 3769717 wouldda been the 261 engine. One last ? The small "plate" to the left of the casting # just above and a little to the right of starter, D 21 1. Is this a date code? And I gotta tell ya, I put a rebuilt Carter 2100 YS carb on this motor and it runs unbelievable!!! No comparison to the 216 that the cops crushed for having a modified suffic number!! Very happy, didn't think a 60 year old motor would run this good/strong.
