| | | | Joined: Dec 2010 Posts: 253 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Dec 2010 Posts: 253 | On a project truck I have with a Carter YF carburetor I have a stumble coming off idle when I accelerate. It's noticeably worse when the motor warms up. Once I get past that it runs cleanly and drives well.Points and timing are good and the vacuum advance works properly so I thinks it's the carb. The idle bleed screw is set spot on also. One other thing I'll mention is that the fuel mileage is not good for a small six. All this leads me to believe that the float level may be too high but I haven't had it apart yet and don't have the specs to set it.
I'm looking for suggestions on this and a ya or nay on my float level idea.
