I think if you follow the ((*)) to the bottom of the page, the "Standard Ignition" means you use an ignition resistor for the dropping resistor in the gas gauge line, as in:
"Part# EL110 Voltage reducer (Light duty for gas gauge)"
might be a brand name, but ask the parts store about a light duty ignition resistor
