Yep, 8 cylinders are expensive to replace, be thankful it's not a 12V, injectors alone for a 12 cly. run near $1,000 a set for mechanical.
That's why I like the sound of a 2 cly for a generator, just the right size, everything is reasonably cheap and you don't need many.
