My 48 had the old cable system which did not work. This is the adjustment for the front to back for leg room. I bought the entire seat which included the adjusters, seat frame, and cushions from a 50 3100. I had to remove all the cable adjustments, frame and cushions for the replacement.
I do not remember any width difference. It seems to me the frame and cushion widths were the same
