Welcome,browndog!That's one of my planned up-grades for my truck. are you converting to 12-volt,or was your truck already 12v? Another neat up-grade,is the 1-wire alternator/bracket swap.I already installed a set of Fenton headers,and saw a nice increase in fuel-mileage.Stands to reason,that an up-graded distributor,(Don't forget the COIL!)should also help in both performance,and economy.Got any pic's? Note:A good reason for an up-graded alternator,is that it will charge,even during idle.Generators charge when under moderate R.P.M. It takes about 10-miles of highway driving,just to re-charge the battery from starting. A lot of gas to keep the battery healthy!
