Of course, if you're converting a '54-'55.1 GMC to 12 volt, you can always just dig up a set of native 12 volt gauges from the '55-'59 GMCs. I have two sets, the last one, from eBay, cost a whopping $15, including shipping. The only different things are a generator warning light rather than an ammeter and the electric temperature gauge.
