Another method is to simply drill out the two rivets that hold the pivot assembly to the frame. They are easy to get to with a close quarter drill and it takes less than 5 minutes (no cussing, swearing or pounding!). I will simply re-rivet or spot weld the pivot assembly back in place to the frame when I am finished cleaning and rebuilding.
